A song on a post, with no video editor

You can now put a song on a post yourself. Native turns your pictures into a short video with the song, or mixes the song under your video.

What's new

  • Press "Add music" on a Suggestions card or on the create page, and pick a song. It costs no tokens

  • "Upload a song" takes MP3, WAV or M4A files from 1 second to 10 minutes, up to 32 MB. A workspace can keep 500 sounds

  • An upload is shared with everyone on Native at once. Press its pencil to set "Who can use it" to "Your workspace" or "Only this brand". Upload only music you may use

  • Only the uploader or an admin can change a sound. If you stop sharing it, others cannot pick it for new posts. What they have scheduled or published keeps it, and their other posts go out without it

  • "Native" lists songs Native's team has chosen for all workspaces. They do not count towards your 500

  • Pictures become one video: 3 seconds a picture, 8 seconds at least and 30 at most

  • On a video of up to 2 minutes, the song plays at half volume under the video's own sound. "Volume" changes the mix

  • A song can go out on Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, TikTok, X and YouTube

  • On an Instagram Reel, "Instagram" opens Instagram's own music, for a brand with Instagram connected through Facebook

What it does not do

  • You cannot choose where a song starts, and it starts over if it is shorter than the video

  • A song does not go on Stories, a LinkedIn document, a Threads thread of its own, pictures and video together, or several videos

  • In the designer, a sound under a design with several pages does not play. Its pictures go out without it
