Social media management cost calculator

Calculate what your current social media workflow costs in people-hours, software and outside support. Then model a second workflow with Native using assumptions you control.

Formula and Native plan facts checked 10 August 2026

What should the calculation include?

A useful social media cost estimate includes planning, writing, design, approval, scheduling, community work and reporting, plus software and outside support. Paid media should stay separate because ad spend buys distribution rather than operating the content workflow.

lower operating cost in the Native scenario

Formula

Monthly labor = total weekly hours × 52 ÷ 12 × loaded hourly cost. Monthly operating cost = labor + software + outside support. Paid media is then added as a separate line. Annual values are monthly values × 12.

This is an editable planning estimate, not a quote, ROI forecast or guaranteed saving. It does not value content quality, revenue, opportunity cost, taxes, exchange rates or migration work.

How to use the result

  • Replace the illustrative hours with a normal week for your team.
  • Use a loaded hourly cost that includes salary, tax and overhead where relevant.
  • Put agency, freelancer and production retainers under outside support.
  • Enter the hours you realistically expect to remain in the compared workflow.
  • Keep community management if your team will still respond to people.
  • Use the difference as a planning scenario, not a guaranteed saving.

Native plan presets in the calculator

The presets use the confirmed monthly USD prices. Pro is $79 for one brand and 50 high-quality posts. Max is $249 for three brands, 50 × 3 high-quality posts and an AI allowance 5× Pro. Agency is $499 for 10 workspaces, 10 brands, 50 × 10 high-quality posts and an AI allowance 10× Pro. Extra brands are $39 each per month on Pro and Max, and $29 each per month on Agency. Enterprise is quoted by sales; choose Custom and enter the quoted amount. Meta Ads Autopilot is included; media spend is separate.

What the calculator does not estimate

  • Revenue, leads, reach, engagement or return on ad spend.
  • The quality or factual accuracy of a specific piece of content.
  • Taxes, currency conversion, migration or onboarding work.
  • The value of brand knowledge, customer relationships or opportunity cost.
  • A universal agency, freelancer or labor benchmark.

Frequently asked questions

The calculator adds weekly hours across seven activities, multiplies by 52 and divides by 12, then multiplies monthly hours by the loaded hourly cost.

Media spend buys ad distribution. It is not a software fee or a content-production cost, so the calculator shows it separately in both scenarios.

No universal assumption is made. Native can automate recurring creation, publishing, analysis and Meta ad operation, but customers may retain approvals, community work, source-material production or custom campaigns. You choose the remaining hours.

No. They are an illustrative example so the calculator is usable immediately. Replace them with your own observed hours before making a decision.
