WhatsApp is live in Native.

Your customers live on WhatsApp. It is where they talk to their friends and their family, and more and more, to the businesses they buy from.

Most businesses still send them to a contact form or a support email. Then they wonder why the conversation dies.

Not anymore. Connect your WhatsApp Business number, and you can talk with your customers through WhatsApp without leaving Native. Their messages land in the same inbox as the rest of your conversations, and you answer them from there.

Say hello to WhatsApp in Native.

WhatsApp, in plain words

WhatsApp is a free messaging app owned by Meta. More than three billion people use it, on their phones and on their computers, to send each other messages, voice notes, photos and videos.

For a lot of your customers it is not one app among many. It is the one already open in their hand. So why make them come find you somewhere else?

The same inbox as everything else

Your posts already go out from Native. Now the conversations that come back can happen there too.

Native Inbox already gathers the messages, comments and reviews from your connected channels. WhatsApp now sits right next to them, with its own filter for when you only want those conversations.

It might be a question about opening hours, a booking for Saturday or a photo of the jacket someone wants in another size. It all lands in one list, and you answer from the same place you plan and publish.

What happens once it is connected

  • Messages arrive in Native. Every WhatsApp message a customer sends to your business number shows up in your inbox, next to your other conversations.

  • You reply from Native. Write your answer in Native, and the customer gets it in WhatsApp, like any other message.

  • Photos, videos, voice notes and documents come along. Whatever the customer sends, you see it in the thread.

  • A returning customer stays in one thread. When someone writes again next week, the new message lands under the old ones, so the whole story is in front of you.

  • Your number stays on your phone. You connect the WhatsApp Business number you already use, and it keeps working in the WhatsApp Business app, so you can still answer on the go.

WhatsApp's rules, built in

WhatsApp protects people from businesses that message too much. Native follows the same rules, so you do not have to learn them.

  • Customers write first. On WhatsApp, a business answers the people who message it. Native does not start conversations and does not add anyone to a list.

  • You see how long replies stay open. WhatsApp lets a business reply within 24 hours of the customer's last message. Native shows how much time is left on every WhatsApp conversation.

  • When the time runs out, WhatsApp is one tap away. Open the same chat in WhatsApp and carry on there. When the customer writes again, replies open again in Native.

Where WhatsApp sits

Native was built to run the whole job. The ideas come from your actual business. The words and the images are made in your voice. The week gets planned and published across your channels. The replies land in your inbox. The budget goes behind whatever works.

Your posts and your ads bring people to you, and the ones who want to ask something often reach for WhatsApp. Until today, those conversations happened on a phone in your pocket, away from everything else. Now they land in Native, next to the work that started them.

What comes next

This is step one. The next step is getting the people who click your ads straight into a WhatsApp conversation with you. After that, we want to help you take care of those customers right where they already are.

We are still working out exactly how that should look. The direction is clear, though. Meet people where they are, and talk with them there.

How to get started

WhatsApp is live in Native today. Your number needs to be in the WhatsApp Business app. If it is in regular WhatsApp, install WhatsApp Business, which is free, and move the number over first. Your chats come with it.

Then open Native, choose WhatsApp where you connect your channels, sign in with Facebook and scan the QR code with the WhatsApp Business app. That is the setup. Connecting signs you out of WhatsApp Web and the desktop app, and your phone keeps working as before.

You did not start your business to send people to a contact form. Now you can talk with them where they already are.

Open Native and connect WhatsApp. Let us know what you think.

We're just getting started.
